I haven’t even touched on implications and potential ramifications of Augmented Reality for society. I haven’t implied any concern on my part about the nature of human interaction and the potential barriers of a forever-mediated (or frequently-mediated?) reality. And do people really want it? Well, I’ve coveted it for too long to entertain the notion that it shouldn’t come to be. It’s really a matter of æsthetics and priorities for the species, and people will make their own decisions(?). I think I’ll steer clear of the metaphysical tautologies for the moment, thank you. I’m generally more interested in the practicalities at this point.
Thought in the shower: “Heh… multiple command sets for gestural messaging… what’s the mime-type?” =P Gee, I’m dumb.
